Selfish Action | A Poem by Raymond Fry

When selfish action steals the love light from my eyes and the gift
that lies within my heart denies, I’ll glance across those shallow
fields where seeds of copper give praise to gold, and I’ll curse the
ground where frozen hands throw dice where servants lives have rolled
