Lend a Hand | A Poem by Scott Thomas Outlar

Keep it simple
as the sky falls

Take it easy
when the flood comes

Roll the dice
with house money

Bet the future
that nothing really matters

Smirk and laugh
at the lemmings

Help the herd
toward a slaughter

Pay the debt
with counterfeit currency

Waste the sun
it’ll rise again
