The Poet Community

Lost | A Poem by Jurg Friedli

I still am here
and you are there
living in another
hemisphere
you just don’t see me
as if I’m air
if I embrace you
you just don’t care.

Why is it that we
once were as one
and now today we’re
all tired and gone
into directions
of the unknown
the seeds are dried up
that we once had sown.

I’m looking at you
and do not see
what might have been there
I do agree
I must be going
you’re on your way
no feeling ever
is here to stay.
