Curtsy to Men | A Poem by M.K. Summer

you said you weren’t like the rest
the rest weren’t like the rest
and you weren’t like you
to spit up the words I want to hear
I crave
and chew them out of my lovely flesh
my arms
bitten down to the bone by your harsh words
the regret I wish I had
for not letting me be me
and being you instead
