When in all earnest
and with perceived grace,
in subtle ways fighting odds
that separate us,
we have to decide
how best we must come close
to let the wide world realise
it is impossible to keep us
away from the importance
that is our due since, in resolve
firm and solid, there in us, there
is that stuff pure and bright
that can’t see us lying separated
and thus should unite us in that
bond, bound up in which everyone
gathers grace, greatness and grandeur.
