The Poet Community

Antidotes for the Anxious | A Poem by Donal Mahoney

For some
nervous wrecks
a pill or two
might help.

For others
a drink or three.
And when
a pill or drink

won’t work
making love
sometimes does
even when no

love’s involved.
For many though
an embalmer has
the answer.
