The Poet Community

Intertexts | A Poem by Aritrik Dutta Chowdhury

The texts take us far,
The texts make us near;
The intertexts we weave
Remain crystal clear.
Obstructing our ways
Of gulping sedition,
Seduction turns livid
With cajoling emptiness.
Yet a completion within
Fills the cellar.
The lee fills itself,
The vault turns purple —
I smell wine
In your cups;
The grapevines seem too high
For the fox in me.
